No referral is required.

Most assessments are completed in upto 2 hours, with a full report and feedback provided in 7–14 days.

An ADHD assessment is $2,000. Payment plans are available to make it easier to access support.

You don’t need to bring anything at all - just yourself.

If you have any previous reports, school or medical documents, or notes you’d like your clinician to know about, you’re welcome to email them before your appointment at hello@calmmindsclinic.com.au.

Sharing information ahead of time can sometimes help your clinician get a clearer picture, but it’s completely optional.

In your appointment that will run for up to 2 hours, our clinician will take time to get to know you and understand your experiences, challenges and goals. They’ll ask questions in a calm, supportive way and explain each step as you go.

You might complete some questionnaires or structured tasks - all designed to help build a clear and accurate picture of how your mind works.

There’s no need to prepare or worry - the process is gentle, professional and focused on helping you feel understood.

After your assessment, your clinician will review all the information and prepare a detailed report that explains the results clearly and thoughtfully.

Reports are usually completed within 7–14 days, and you’ll receive a copy for your own records - ready to share with your GP, school or support team if needed.

Unfortunately, Mental Health Care Plans don’t cover psychological assessments. They can only be used for therapy sessions with a Psychologist or Counsellor.

However, if you’d like to access therapy support after your assessment, we can help you organise that under your Mental Health Care Plan or discuss other options that suit your situation.

Yes! For clients aged 6+, assessments can be completed via Telehealth from the comfort of your home.

You’ll still receive the same thorough, supportive assessment process and a detailed report - just without needing to travel.

All assessments are conducted by qualified and experienced Psychologists.

Our team takes a professional yet compassionate approach, ensuring you or your child feel comfortable and understood throughout the process.
