Kelsey Sherwood is a registered Psychologist with a Master’s in Educational and Developmental Psychology. She works with children aged four and over, adolescents, adults and families, offering a calm, supportive space where people can feel safe, understood and accepted just as they are. Her work is guided by trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming and gender-affirming principles, and is grounded in empathy, kindness, inclusivity and respect.

As a neurodivergent Psychologist, Kelsey understands how important it is to feel truly seen and heard in therapy. She places great value on building strong, trusting relationships, recognising that meaningful growth happens best when clients feel emotionally safe and supported. Parents are welcomed as partners in the therapeutic process and children are met with patience, warmth and genuine care.

Kelsey’s approach is gentle, collaborative and strengths-based, while also being honest and supportive in helping clients navigate challenges. She works at each person’s pace, taking time to understand what feels hard, what feels safe and what matters most to them.

She integrates evidence-based therapies including;

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therap y (ACT)

  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

  • Trauma-informed and lived-experience-informed care

  • Harm reduction approaches

  • Parenting support and education

Sessions are tailored to the individual or family, with a focus on emotional safety, self-understanding and building practical coping skills that can be used in everyday life.
